Having recently moved offices, the layout of our new premises presented a number of challenges, not least of which was the integration of our existing computer network. A problem arose as a result of physical obstacles which compromised the connectivity of our network and the ability to link all our computers.

When my PC developed worrying signs recently that a virus may be at work, I thought I was committed to arranging for someone to travel to me to fix it and spending both time and money on that person sitting in front of said machine running diagnostics and fixes whilst generally chatting and having several coffees. That's what happened last time. I also thought that it would be too minor an undertaking for Virtual Networking to even consider. How refreshing then to find that when I told you my tale of woe I was simply instructed to let you know what day and time I would be in my office to take a call from Dean and he would then simply take over my PC remotely and phone me back when all was done. And that's what he did - whilst I go on with some paperwork and experienced no intrusion and no demands on my time whatsoever. Dean was polite, helpful, and extremely efficient. The whole exercise was painless in the extreme and I hope to organise a regular PC healthcheck with you in the future.
